QuaCell™PowerfulCryopreservation Medium is a universal cell cryopreservation medium. Synergistically acting via intracellular and extracellular cryoprotectants contained in the product, it effectively alleviates solute injury and physical damage caused by ice crystal formation during cell cryopreservation to achieve optimal cell cryopreservation performance. This product is primarily designed for cryopreservation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from various tissues, including bone marrow, umbilical cord, placenta and adipose tissue. It features chemically defined composition, free of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), fetal bovine serum (FBS) and animal-derived components. All raw materials are pharmaceutical grade, which reliably guarantees superior cell cryopreservation quality and safety across multiple application scenarios.

Case 1

MSC cryopreservation and post-thaw recovery tests were performed using QuaCell™ Powerful Cryopreservation Medium, conventional DMSO-based medium, and a DMSO-free cryopreservation medium from another brand, respectively.

Post-thaw viability testing yielded mesenchymal stem cell viabilities of 96%, 96% and 95.5% for the three groups. No statistically significant difference was observed among the three cryopreservation media (P > 0.05).

Case 2

Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs) were cryopreserved with QuaCell™ Powerful Cryopreservation Medium (test group) and DMSO-containing cryopreservation medium (control group), respectively.

Post-thaw cultured cells were stained and analyzed via flow cytometry for the mesenchymal stem cell surface markers CD44, CD73, CD90 and CD105.

The results demonstrated that adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells cryopreserved with this product retained their typical MSC immunophenotype.The expression levels of CD44, CD73, CD90 and CD105 all exceeded 95%, indicating that cryopreservation using this medium has no adverse impact on the immunophenotype of mesenchymal stem cells.
