Application Case Study
- An evaluation was conducted to compare variations in cell yield, viability and purity during NK cell expansion via feeder cell culture using cell culture bags from two different suppliers.
- PBMCs were isolated from peripheral blood and split into two groups. Both groups were seeded into culture flasks in parallel for NK cell activation and expansion. Once the cell count reached 1–2 × 10⁸ cells, the cultures were transferred into gas-permeable cell culture bags from two different manufacturers.
On day 14 of culture, the culture medium volume in each gas-permeable bag reached approximately 2 L with slight yellow discoloration. Cells were harvested to test total cell count, cell viability and cell purity, and the test results of the two groups are shown below:
